Date/Time: March 13, 1986
Case #: OCSD 86-07094
Narrative: Cedric Horn, an 80 year old retired dentist, was reported missing by his family on 3/13/86 after he left his residence in the unincorporated area of Santa Ana in his vehicle to visit Northern California on business on 3/7/86. Interviews with witnesses led the investigators to believe Cedric Horn’s disappearance involved foul play and his body has yet been recovered. Steven White, a person of interest, was identified during the initial stages of the investigation; however, he refused to cooperate and fled from the Orange County area. In May of 2015, Orange County “Cold Case” Task Force investigators representing Orange County Sheriff’s Department interviewed White who is currently serving a life term in Florida for an unrelated murder in 1987. White admitted to being responsible for Cedric Horn’s death and was subsequently charged with the murder of Cedric Horn.
